I’m excited to be taking up a new post as New Housing Missioner in Ashford. It’s going to be a new adventure for my family as we explore a new place and discover what God has in store for us here!
I’ve been a lay worker in the Methodist church for almost 20 years. Working with young people in Grimsby and Bicester before spending 11 years as Children and Youth Worker at Christchurch Hitchin.
I’m passionate about working with teenagers and young adults, exploring life with them is a real privilege. I like to find creative opportunities in ministry – this has led to all sorts of unusual moments whether that is dressing as an alien banana for a summer kids club or serving Christmas dinner in March for a youth event or to filling a church hall with sand for Lent! It’s all about making memories!
In my spare time I enjoy trips to the cinema and visiting new places. I enjoy watching American Football and I follow Blackburn Rovers in English football
I have been married to my wonderful wife Sarah since 2003 and we have three children who are very excited about moving to a new place! Together we enjoy watching movies, playing games and we recently started a monthly international food night where we get together to try a new country’s cuisine – so far France and Sweden have been proven popular!
It’s a strange experience moving in the midst of a pandemic but as a family we are really looking forward to making a home in Ashford and seeing what God does in this new community,
